Background
I have spent twelve years sourcing knitwear for seasonal retail, the last seven focused entirely on Christmas sweaters. I started on the buying floor of a Nordic department store, learning which yarns pill after one wash and which prints fade under stage lighting at office parties. Since 2021 I have run selection for this shop, working directly with mills in Portugal and Turkey to vet fabric weight, stitch density and colorfastness before a single style reaches the catalog. My focus stays narrow: holiday knitwear, nothing else.
How I Test
Every sweater on this site passes through my hands before it goes live. I wash samples three times on a normal cycle to check for shrinkage and bobbling, then wear each one through a full workday to judge itch, stretch and how the collar holds up. I compare stitch counts against the supplier spec sheet and reject anything padded with acrylic filler. When a style fails, I send written notes back to the mill rather than just dropping the order, since half of them fix it next batch.

My expertise covers yarn composition, print durability, sizing consistency across brands and seasonal shipping timelines. I check every new arrival against the same standards I used on the buying floor, and I update size guidance whenever a supplier changes their block pattern. If a sweater does not hold up the way I expect, I pull it from the shop rather than leave a bad recommendation live.
